Employer: British start-up

Location: Remotely from Poland

Rate: up to 200 pln per hour

Cooperation model: B2B

Our client is a small British technology startup affiliated with one of the universities in the UK. Currently planning to expand into cybersecurity, they are seeking an experienced consultant to address this area and advise on its future development.

Your role is:

-> to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines;

-> to conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation;

-> to manage and review access controls, firewall/WAF rules, and logging policies;

-> to perform penetration testing (internal and external) and address findings;

-> to collaborate with developers to integrate security into the SDLC (SAST, dependencyscanning);

-> to maintain compliance with PCI DSS, GDPR, and other relevant regulations;

-> to implement and monitor incident response and breach notification processes;

-> to train and educate staff on security best practices and awareness.

Your skills and experiences:

-> 5+ years of experience in a security-focused role, preferably within a SaaS environment;

-> Experience with security tooling: SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS;

-> Familiarity with cloud security (GCP security services, IAM, KMS);

-> Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and key management;

-> Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus;

-> Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technicalstakeholders;

-> Ability to respond to and manage security incidents effectively.

Nice to have:

+ knowledge of PCI DSS 4.0.1 requirements and implementation;

+ experience in the financial industry (banking, insurance, fintech, etc.);
