As a Backend Engineer at Orange Polska you will join a cross-competence team of 25 experts working on the crossroads of Data, Machine Learning and Management. We focus on developing new solutions with practical business application for the international Orange Group.

We offer you an opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects such as building an automated cybersecurity tool utilizing ML and database integration or  constructing a detailed simulation of a complex telecommunication network for the purpose of virtual testing.

As close cooperation with Business will be part of your daily duties we are looking for Candidates displaying good communication skills, proactive approach and willingness to build good relations with a variety of stakeholders.

This position allows you to work in either hybrid (from any of our Polish offices) or remote (from within Poland only) work models. Fluent knowledge of Polish language is mandatory.

Your responsibilities

1. Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs that support platform data flow and automation on GCP
2. Build resilient infrastructure components to handle large-scale data and AI-driven workloads
3. Support data ingestion, transformation, and LLM integration with performant back-end systems
4. Contribute to the modularization and standardization of internal backend tooling
5. Collaborate with data engineers to bridge platform and data systems effectively
6. Act as a trusted partner and contact point for Business
