About the project

• We are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a dynamic team delivering front-office trading and risk technology solutions for a leading global client in the investment banking sector.
• You will be working on a modern, high-performance trading and risk platform used across fixed income businesses, with direct impact on intraday pricing, risk, and hedge workflows. The project leverages the latest technologies to build responsive, scalable, and low-latency applications within an environment that values technical excellence, collaboration, and global impact.
• This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about building robust backend systems and working in an agile, front-office technology environment closely aligned with trading, risk, and electronic market-making functions.

Your responsibilities

• Develop application features using Java and PostgreSQL
• Build and enhance the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous integration and deployment
• Provide L2/L3 production support as part of a shared on-call rotation
• Support both local and global trading desks with technical solutions and issue resolution
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, architects, and end users to ensure technical alignment and user satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with all relevant internal controls and external regulatory requirements
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of business processes and system capabilities

Our requirements

• Proven track record of building high-performance applications
• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools
• Strong, hands-on experience in Java development (min. 6-7 years of experience)
• Proficient with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Experienced in microservice architecture design
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to take on some business analysis tasks when needed
• Strong analytical approach to problem-solving, especially under high-pressure conditions
• Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, driving work through the full SDLC – from specification to production support
• A committed team player with a solid understanding of the importance of collaboration in a fast-paced, highly technical environment

Optional

• Experience working in Fixed Income; working knowledge of bonds and futures products
• Familiarity with pricing and/or risk management of Fixed Income instruments
• Knowledge of DevOps tools, such as Ansible and Jenkins
• Hands-on experience with C++ and Python
