Your responsibilities

  • Identify legal requirements and regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Support, influence and counsel managers and employees on the various human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations to ensure compliance and consistency in practice.
  • Conducting the end-to-end payroll process, including payroll transaction processing, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Ensures accurate and timely records for payroll and personnel (i.e. new hires, promotions, transfers, changes in wage or benefits, performance reviews, separation, etc.), benefit plans, and government statistics. Work in conjunction with Finance as necessary.
  • Manages the recruitment & retention process - coordination, screening, interviewing and recommendation of prospective applicants for employment, as well as extending offers to successful candidates.
  • Provides direction, coaching and support to other members of the global HR team.
  • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations etc.
  • Ensures the appropriate development programs and succession plans are in place and administered for all personnel at all levels.
  • Administer performance review and compensation program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
  • Provides input to senior management on the HR implications of strategic and operational decisions and plans.
  • Prepare certain management reports including headcount, year-to-date turnover, training and HR budgets and monthly reporting package to Corporate.
  • Support Health and Safety initiatives by managing the protective clothes register and medical examinations register.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Administration or related field.
  • Five years of experience in Human Resources with positions of increasing responsibility preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of laws and regulations as they pertain to the human resources function.
  • Must be able to develop relationships with management and staff to foster open communications within the organization.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize based on changing work conditions.
  • PC literate with experience with MS Office.
  • Good organizational and communication skills along with attention to detail.
