Your responsibilities

• Technical and disciplinary management of an organizational unit with approx. 15 people
• Taking care of the further development of processes, procedures and the development of the team and its individual members
• Quality assurance of purchased parts and suppliers for all assigned suppliers throughout the entire product life cycle, from product development and commissioning through the series production phase to the product testing phase
• Responsibility for the selection of suppliers from the point of view of quality
• Ensuring that purchased parts are ready to start serial production in new projects by ensuring compliance with VDA
• Representing quality interests in various internal and inter-company decision-making committees and MAN working groups
• Negotiations with the management/management of suppliers
• Communication in critical crisis and conflict situations to reach a quick agreement to maintain or restore deliveries of purchased parts according to specifications
• Support and/or implementation of various cross-functional and in some cases cross-discipline projects

Our requirements

• Bachelor's degree in in engineering, economics, business administration, or a related field
• Knowledge of English at the level of min. C1
• Knowledge of German will be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality management (preferably in the automotive industry)
• Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and other basic quality tools
• Ready to travel to MAN & TRATON suppliers and locations
• Category B driving license
• Very strong interpersonal and leadership skills, proven leadership experience, including team management and development
• Structured approach and ability to work under time pressure
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to embrace change, and to motivate and inspire
