Your responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to uphold service quality and guest satisfaction.
• Supervise and train staff to ensure they adhere to established protocols and provide exceptional customer service.
• Collaborate with various departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to streamline operations.
• Monitor and manage hotel budgets, expenses, and revenue to achieve financial targets.
• Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
• Implement and enforce health and safety standards to ensure a secure and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth among the staff.
• Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relations to ensure cost-effective and efficient supply chain operations.

Our requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related field or experience in hotel management function.
• Proven experience in hotel operations management (or similar management role), with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in maintenance operations within the hospitality industry, demonstrating proficiency in overseeing facility upkeep, equipment management, and functionality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Competent IT skills, including POS system and Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• The working week in Zanzibar is 6 days.
