Twój zakres obowiązków

• As an Prepress Operator your primary role is to support the Customer Graphic Services Managers by producing print ready PDFs with a high standard print prepress requirements by accurately following briefs and working within the departmental processes and procedures.
• Role expansion for Prepress Operator will be to provide the liaison between our internal and external clients, and the Smurfit Westrock Prepress and Account Management team providing support for AM processes.
• This includes, but is not exclusive to the following tasks:
• How you will impact Smurfit WestRock:
• Complete any prepress jobs assigned provided by the Customer, this includes creates, amends and re-grids
• Follow templates and cutter guides
• Produce and set-up print ready PDFs to various specifications and print finishes
• QC and flightcheck your work before loading to Client FTPs/Databases
• Follow departmental processes and flag any issues to the relevant Team Leader or Senior Studio Manager
• Accurately book all new client jobs into the workflow management system
• Ensure that all packaging elements are processed and approved within the production schedule timelines and/or according to SLA’s
• Take ownership of and manage the client approval process
• Effectively communicate with the client
• Deal with any artwork related issues in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the client
• Escalate any issues to the Senior Studio Manager

Nasze wymagania

• Good knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Acrobat,(Adobe CS Suite)
• Ability to understand artwork grids and produce artwork to these grids
• Ability to follow departmental processes and produce quality artwork in a timely manner.
• Experience in print production and an understanding of cutter guides.
• Knowledge of trapping ie overprints, knockouts, spread, choke and ink density
• Good knowledge of colour management. Ideal if this included the ability to evaluate the accuracy of colour standards and draw, and to oversee colour profile requirements with the printers
• Liaise with the Print facilities ensuring that any issues, are resolved as efficiently as possible, with corrective actions implemented to Production processes where necessary
• Communicative English level
• Good page layout and typography skills
• A good eye and attention to detail is required
• Have a creative flare where needed
• Willingness to do shift work – 3 shifts
