About the project

• We develop modern Software Defined Networking (SDNs) and Network Operating systems-based solutions for the leading networking equipment manufacturers. We work with cloud-native, containerized software and services, as well as with user-space and kernel-space drivers for advanced network equipment such as switches, routers, and smart network interface cards (smartNICs).

• • The team consists of developers, QA Automation, and DevOps Engineers
• • We often work using hardware and tools provided by the client
• • Our projects can be managed by our EMs or directly by the client
• • We use Agile methodology (Kanban/Scrum) whenever possible
• • We work with clients from the US and Europe

Your responsibilities

• Developing test automation using Python
• Contribute to Python-based test framework functionalities
• Contributing to document test scenarios
• Ensuring components you are responsible for are well-covered by automated tests
• Being proactive and motivated to deliver high-quality work
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with other developers
• Conducting code reviews for pull requests (PRs) raised by team members
• Maintaining project documentation in Confluence

Our requirements

• Experience with Test Automation in Python (version 3)
• Experience with PyTest
• Good knowledge of network concepts - switching and routing, preferably Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge
• Good knowledge of virtualization
• Good knowledge of English (B2+ level)

Optional

• Experience with Splunk
• Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Arista switches and routers
• Knowledge of Cisco iOS XR/XE devices (e.g.: ASR 9000, ISR/ASR 1000 series)
• Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge
• Experience in automation of network devices, YANG models, NETCONF, gRPC/gNMI protocols
• Experience with hardware traffic generators like Ixia, Spirent
