Your responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
• Manage preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, compliant with Polish accounting standards.
• Ensure adherence to local and EU tax regulations, specifically CIT, VAT (including VAT OSS), and WHT.
• Oversee relationships with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other external partners.
• Act as a proactive partner to business leaders, offering financial insights and solutions to support strategic decision-making.
• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of internal accounting processes, controls, and policies.
• Participate actively in tax planning and optimization efforts as the business grows.
• Ensure accurate management of cash flow, payroll, treasury activities, and financial risk management.

Employer requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a chief or senior accounting role.
• Proven experience managing and developing teams.
• Deep knowledge of Polish accounting standards and regulations.
• Prior experience managing audits and compliance processes.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (experience with SAP or other top-tier ERP preferred).
• Strong analytical skills, proactive approach, and ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with high attention to detail.
• Fluent Polish, good command of English.

Optional

• Experience with ERP implementation projects.
• Previous experience in e-commerce or retail sectors.
• Experience in companies undergoing rapid growth or scale-up.
• Familiarity with international transactions and cross-border trade.
