Your responsibilities

• Creation of new parts within the ERP system, respecting customer design dossier and internal ERP planning parameters
• Control and administration of customer technical data following internal transfer procedures to both internal and external suppliers
• Co-ordination & management of engineering change requests from customer, considering the following points throughout the full Gardner supply chain: Data transfer, Point of embodiment, RC & NRC (inc tooling) impact (consider contractual obligations), Inventory / WIP impact, Supply chain impact, Raw material, AGS, Bought out
• Presentation of change impact to the customer
• Act as the main technical liaison with both customer and suppliers (internal & external)

Our requirements

• Possess a recognised engineering qualification
• A good understanding of aerospace design dossier i.e. 2D drawing, BOM, ECN (particularly Airbus)
• Ability to interrogate 3D data using either native CAD system or a suitable viewer
• High level of commercial acumen, with knowledge of estimating procedures. Demonstrated strength in numerical and financial analysis.
• Understanding of the aerostructures and manufacturing industries. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes for metallic components, tooling & fixturing methods
• Understanding of programme management and planning principles to accurately and concisely report on project status
• Ability to create presentation material to support internal & external audiences
• Attention to detail and accurate in costing principles
• Self starter, with creative and “can do” attitude
• Willingness to travel within the Company’s sites
