Requirements description

• Proficient in AWS services, including but not limited to S3, Step Functions, Lambda, Fargate, AWS Glue, and RDS.
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL processes, including designing and implementing ETL solutions using AWS technologies.
• Proven experience in Python development, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for data processing and automation tasks.
• Familiarity with data modeling, data transformation, and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience with dbt, GitLab, Docker, Bash, and agile development tools such as JIRA.

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our ERP Pipeline team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You will work across functional teams to ensure our data systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for both current and future business needs.

Your responsibilities

1. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
2. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
3. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
4. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies.
5. Development of CI/CD pipelines (esp. GitLab and DataOps).
6. Modeling data transformations using dbt (data build tool), including scripting and complex algorithms.
