Your responsibilities

• Support the Director of GCIO CCO Shared Services to build out the new GCIO Chief Control Office (GCIO CCO) Shared Services function.
• Deliver Control Management and Framework related products and services to the GCIO function.
• Lead change initiatives to mature the bank’s Control Design Architecture, Control Frameworks and Control Standards.
• Continuously improv products and services that enable technology risk and control management across HSBC.
• Your strategic goal is to enable the GCIO function to meet the highest possible standard of control design so we can better manage our Technology risk exposure, by building and coaching a high performing team of risk and control experts.
• You will provide product expertise and ownership through proactive customer engagement and deliver improvements.
• You will provide advice and designing for products, processes, and services in a commercially viable, practical and effective manner and identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment.
• Face off to senior management and driving the GCIO function to the products and services you are accountable for.

Our requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working in risk and controls in financial services either within a risk related function, or as a management consultant.
• Broad expertise in Cyber, Technology and / or Data risk related control design (e.g. NIST, COBIT etc.).
• Experience of delivering complex change in a global, matrix-style organisation.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing scope and demands.
• Expertise in designing Risk Management Frameworks and Control Frameworks.
• Experience delivering products and services to a broad array of internal customers.
• Strong communication skills to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Flexible and adaptable, able to handle and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
