We are looking for an experienced Databricks Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of advanced data solutions.Your Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures on Databricks. Define best practices for ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and Medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Establish data governance, quality, and security standards across projects. Collaborate with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Provide guidance on performance optimization, cost management, and architecture scalability. Review and mentor engineering teams on SQL, Python, and Databricks best practices. Drive adoption of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern data orchestration practices. Evaluate and recommend tools for data cataloging, validation, and governance. Requirements: Proven commercial experience designing and delivering enterprise data solutions on Databricks. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data processing and analytics. Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and Medallion architecture. Experience implementing data governance, quality controls, and data contracts. Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data integration patterns. Good command of English (minimum B2) for seamless communication in an international environment. Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers. Nice to Have: Experience with data cataloging and governance tools (e.g., Unity Catalog, Collibra, Purview). Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Great Expectations. Certifications such as Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Databricks Certified Architect.
