We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a highly visible, large-scale program focused on a monolith-to-microservice architecture transformation for a global leader in the meal-kit delivery industry. This is a high-output environment where engineering directly drives financial impact for over 4.2 million households worldwide.Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of backend microservices using GoLang for the new platform stack. Actively contribute to the strategic migration from the legacy PHP monolith to the new microservices architecture. Collaborate closely with the Product Owner (PO), Engineering Manager (EM), and UI/UX Designer within a dynamic team structure. Solve complex, challenging problems focused on critical business functions such as pricing, payment services, and conversion optimization. Required Skills & Experience: Strong expertise in Backend development. Proficiency in GoLang (core language for the new microservices platform). Experience working on microservices architecture transformation programs Nice to Have: PHP knowledge (helpful for understanding the legacy monolith and migration strategy). Experience working directly with German/European client internal engineering teams. Familiarity with systems supporting high-volume e-commerce/retail functions (e.g., pricing, payments, logistics).
