Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud ETL Developer to join our team and help design, develop, and implement a cloud-based data management platform that will enable the agency to efficiently ingest, transform, and load critical data assets. This role requires an expert with strong data warehousing, cloud architecture, and ETL experience.

• • Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows to ingest, transform, and load data assets into cloud data platforms.

  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to design robust data solutions.

  • Work with cloud and on-premises data architectures, including Kimball and Inmon models.

  • Design and implement solutions across a range of data stores, including HDFS, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Databricks.

  • Provide hands-on expertise in data modeling, metadata management, and data integration.

  • Develop scripts for automation and data processing using Windows, Python, and Linux shell scripting.

  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance across platforms.

Required Skills & Technologies:

• ETL Tools: IBM DataStage, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

• Cloud Technologies: Data Factory v2, Data Lake Store, Data Lake Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse

• Database Platforms: SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Oracle, T-SQL

• Modeling Tools: Erwin

• Operating Systems: Windows, Unix/Linux

• Scripting: Python, Windows scripting, Linux shell scripting

• Strong understanding of:

  • Data integrations

  • Database architectures

  • Ingesting spatial data

Additional Information:

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week

• W2 candidates only

• Must be local to Richmond, VA or willing to relocate
