Responsibilities

As a payroll clerk you will enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll system. Information may include employee hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Checking timesheets for accuracy and manager approval, researching discrepancies and work with team to resolve issues prior to bi-weekly payroll posting.

Required Skills/Abilities

 Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

 Efficient in Payroll software

 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

 Acquiring necessary approval to submit payroll

 Processes wage garnishments

 Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions

 Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge

 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

 Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.

 Performs other duties as assigned

Education/ ExperienceHigh school or equivalent

2 Years Of Payroll (Preferred)

2 years of Microsoft Excel (Required)
