Position Summary
The Part-Time Academic Success Coach will collaborate with stakeholders across campus to contribute to the effectiveness of initiatives related to student success, retention, and persistence. The primary role of the coach will be to serve as the first connection between the incoming student and the College. The coach will serve as the initial guide to help students begin their academic journey by connecting them with their academic advisor, actively promoting academic support services across campus, and enhancing awareness and use of these services. Reporting directly to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, the success coach plays a primary role in establishing strategies and objectives for academic support services on campus and cultivating synergies amongst these support services.
The Part-Time Academic Success Coach is a 12-month, part-time staff position.

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to sit for varying lengths of time; bend, reach, lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds; occasionally stand, walk, and kneel and regularly ascend/descend stairs; use hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard; perform extended periods of work at a computer workstation, view a computer monitor; perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and receive detailed information through oral communication; express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word; and work in an office setting.
