Department DescriptionThe CommandCentral software team helps solve for safer by focusing on building public safety solutions that combine the capabilities of the entire software suite into a single, user-centric workflow, enabling public safety agencies to efficiently manage data across their operations.The product owner is responsible for the ownership and managing of the backlog for their assigned value stream(s), contributes to the product roadmap, understands customer and market needs for the CommandCentral RMS products. The product owner works in partnership with the product manager and relies on their technical knowledge and background to define user stories and acceptance criteria, engage with assigned Engineering teams, and groom the backlog. The ability to deeply understand technical architecture, define engineering behind features, and to translate high level customer functional requirements into technical for development is a crucial skill. In addition, the ability to describe the impact of technical requirements to customers, non-technical sales, and support resources is a must.This position will be responsible for filling the agile product owner role for the CommandCentral RMS products. In this role, the product owner champions the need of the user, customer, and other stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure that what is delivered meets the goals, objectives, and desired outcomes of the project.
