Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting project execution from pre-planning through completion. This position ensures accuracy, safety, schedule adherence, and cost control. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel project management, with knowledge of steel fabrication and erection being highly preferred. Candidates with construction or subcontractor experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Review scope of work on all contracts.
- Manage multiple projects to ensure compliance with contract requirements, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors.
- Review design drawings and project specifications.
- Create sequence drawings and prepare safety hazard reports.
- Maintain Request for Change Order (RCO) logs and create Operating Data sheets.
- Develop Schedules of Values and ensure change order requests are completed within project timelines.
- Create tool lists, site-specific safety and erection plans, and erection check-off lists.
- Generate RFIs and track them through completion to ensure uninterrupted field operations.
- Approve purchase orders for projects under supervision.
- Communicate weekly project schedules, percent complete, and monthly cost variance to the Vice President of Operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in steel project management is required.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and BlueBeam Revu is required.
- Experience with Trello, Sitelines, Clearstory, SDS2 Detailing software, Tekla PowerFab or Structures, and Auto-CAD is a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Interest in long-term growth into a Project Manager role.

Pay Range: $40k - 110k Yearly
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
