At client, they are enabling customers and internal teams to harness AI safely and effectively by exposing client API capabilities through MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers. These standardized AI “capability surfaces” will let AI agents, copilots, and automation frameworks discover and use Vonage’s communications APIs (voice, video, messaging, authentication, etc.) securely and contextually. You will be a foundational engineer helping design and build this new layer of AI enablement—accelerating innovation across our platform and for our customers.Your key responsibilities:  Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Security to define the end-to-end solution for MCP-based exposure of client APIs Design, build, test, and deploy MCP servers and supporting services in Python (and other languages as needed) Integrate LLMs, AI agents, and tool orchestration frameworks with client’s communications capabilities Implement strong security, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and auditability patterns for AI-driven execution Establish robust testing strategies: unit, contract, integration, load, and chaos tests Essential Skills and Experience: Excellent software engineering skills in Python Experience designing, building, and operating cloud services on AWS Strong understanding of AI concepts: LLMs, prompt orchestration, tool calling, retrieval augmentation, agent frameworks Working knowledge of (or strong interest in) MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and emerging AI interoperability standards Deep focus on software security: threat modeling, least privilege, secrets management, secure API design, supply chain considerations A test-first mindset: unit, integration, contract, and automation testing at scale Ability to learn and apply multiple languages or stacks pragmatically (e.g., TypeScript, Go, Java) Entrepreneurial mindset: bias for action, ownership, iterative delivery, outcome focusWhat we offer: Contract: B2B directly with US company Salary: up to 160 pln/h 100% remote Polish time zone Polish public holidays Recruitment process: 1-2 technical calls
