This role helps implement, tune, and maintain core enterprise security controls and collaborates closely with IT, Workplace Technology, Cloud, Engineering, and the SOC. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on implementation, tuning, and improving security technologies.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and improve endpoint protection configurations and security policies.Support network security controls and secure access configurations.Administer and optimize enterprise email security policies including phishing protection, impersonation controls, and email DLP.Provide security consultation to Technology and business teams on secure integrations, data transmission, and safe handling of sensitive information.Onboard and validate new log sources into SIEM and monitoring platforms.Review detection gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen telemetry and coverage.Assist with secure configuration baselines and policy enforcement across operating systems.Contribute to secure configuration baselines across operating systems and user platforms.Support incident investigation workflows in partnership with the SOC.Collaborate with IT, Workplace Technology, Cloud, and Network teams on secure architecture and remediation activities.Maintain documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and configuration standards.Participate in audits by providing artifacts and technical clarification as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.2–4 years of experience in security engineering, endpoint security, network security, or IT security operations.Strong understanding of operating system security across Windows, macOS, and/or Linux.Familiarity with SIEM platforms, logging pipelines, and detection concepts.Knowledge of security controls such as endpoint protection, network filtering, and secure configuration baselines.Understanding of common security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST).Preferred Skills:Scripting for automation or reporting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple OS platforms.Understanding of network security fundamentals and policy structures.Experience collaborating with SOC, IT, Cloud, or Infrastructure teams.Ability to produce clear and repeatable documentation.Comfortable working in a global distributed team.About You:You are detail-oriented and proactive in identifying misconfigurations or risks.You work well in cross-functional environments and communicate clearly.You enjoy improving processes and increasing efficiency.You are comfortable working independently and managing priorities.What do we offerIn exchange for your expertise, HireRight offers an excellent employee benefit package which includes: HireRight offers its employees a competitive salary, permanent contract and a comprehensive package of benefits.
