For our Client – a global leader in financial technology – we are currently looking for a Senior Software Java Engineer to join a high-impact project in the electronic trading domain.Our client, a global financial markets technology leader, is building high-performance systems for trading interest rate derivatives. Their straight-through-processing (STP) platform supports thousands of daily transactions and automates the full trade lifecycle.They are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join the Krakow team, take ownership of an in-house STP system, work closely with international colleagues, and collaborate directly with traders and business stakeholders. The role offers strong growth potential, including the opportunity to step into a technical lead position.Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance Java-based STP trading systems with a focus on low latency and high availability. Collaborate directly with product owners, traders, and operations staff to deliver business-critical features. Maintain, monitor, and support live systems across multiple global trading hubs. Implement instrumentation, metrics, and telemetry to ensure reliability and performance. Work closely with distributed development teams to ensure seamless delivery and knowledge transfer. Expand expertise in both financial markets and underlying system technologies. Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Java (core Java, multithreading, performance optimization). Solid knowledge of Linux environments and distributed systems. Background in building low-latency, high-availability platforms. Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring or Apache Storm is a plus. Curiosity and willingness to learn financial markets – no prior trading knowledge required. Strong communication skills and readiness to interact directly with business users.
