As a Senior Systems Engineer you will provide SNOW technical solutions to support high CMDB quality standards to ensure the single point of truth strategy.
This role will be part of IT Infrastructure and Operations for Group Technology. The IT Infrastructure and Operations Tower delivers stable operational services in a cost effective and adequate manner for applications in scope and IT infrastructure with a clear focus on continuous service delivery optimization, standardization and automation.
You will support the Cross Functional Team which is responsible for CMDB data quality for all global IT infrastructure components.
How you will get the job done
designing and developing complex solutions based on the requirements on ITSM, ITOM, HAM and other modules
enabling, configuring and developing automated CMDB discovery of new and existing infrastructure components
supporting Service Manager for CMDB Infrastructure Quality and requirements team by focusing on ServiceNow Architecture, CSDM and technical interfaces
developing Discovery procedures by ensuring identification and reconciliation rules, monitor error logs, troubleshoot and resolve any related issues
leading in the implementing, configuration and maintenance of interfaces and integrations
reviewing and modifying existing ServiceNow discovery patterns as needed
verifying the requirements with the platform's OOB functionality, performing gap analysis and proposing additional platform OOB modules if necessary
estimating effort for all customizations, integrations, configurations and development work
collaborating with IT Infrastructure teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet customer needs
being responsible for technical documentation for day-to-day operations of new implementations
ensuring system architecture supports business scalability and strategies and meets audit, compliance and security requirements
collaborating closely with ITSM Platform team to ensure smooth deployment processes and adherence to SNOW development guideline
creating and configuring of reports, dashboards, schedules and other operational activities or outputs associated with discovery functions

Requirements
very good spoken and written Business English
university degree in IT or business information management or equivalent qualification
outstanding ability and experience in developing and implementing ITSM/ITIL and ITOM processes and solutions, with a deep process/functional and technical understanding of the CMDB and CSDM
ServiceNow Certifications for system administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM and core ITOM applications
experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and Asset Management, preferably in a large enterprise environment (network, server, data center, cloud)
minimum 5 years of practical experience as ServiceNow Developer and minimum 2 years practical experience with ServiceNow Discovery
deep analytical skills with proven experience in SNOW CMDB troubleshooting and root cause analysis
advanced experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.)
excellent interpersonal skills combined with practice establishing and maintaining credibility as a ServiceNow expert
ITIL Foundation (minimum) or even better ITIL Expert Certifications
experience soliciting and documenting requirements and evolving these requirements into successful solutions
