Application Development Associate

💵 Rate: $50–$65/hr on W-2 (No C2C)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Development Associate to design, build, test, and support both new and existing software applications, including a Mobile Application . This role plays a key part in application development, enhancement, and ongoing production support.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Application Architects, Business Analysts, and development team members to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements, performance standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Support

• Design, develop, and test application programs, including new functionality and enhancements to existing modules.
• Maintain and support a Mobile Application (commercial off-the-shelf product).
• Provide production support, including issue analysis, bug fixes, testing, and deployment to production environments.
• Analyze application issues and implement timely, high-quality solutions.

Collaboration & Design

• Work closely with Application Architects and Business Analysts to validate functional and technical designs.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to solution planning.
• Translate requirements into well-structured, maintainable application code.

Code Quality & Documentation

• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to application functionality and enhancements.
• Analyze requirements, code, and test simple to moderately complex program modules.
• Ensure solutions meet quality standards and design specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to coding standards, performance, and development processes.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Java (5+ years): Strong object-oriented programming skills and experience with enterprise Java applications.
• Spring Boot (5+ years): Experience building RESTful APIs and scalable backend services.
• Angular (5+ years): Proficiency developing responsive, single-page web applications.
• SQL (5+ years): Strong ability to write efficient SQL queries for data manipulation and reporting; experience with relational databases.

General Qualifications

• Strong understanding of application development lifecycle and production support.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot application issues.
• Solid understanding of technical and domain knowledge relevant to application development.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application performance tuning.
• Experience supporting mobile or COTS applications.
