What you will do

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Software Engineer (SAP Integration Suite) to connect the world around SAP finance. You will become part of a Center of Competence (CoC) consisting of professionals in Germany (Munich), Poland, and India (Mumbai) to introduce SAP’s newest cloud capabilities to the Munich RE Group System Landscape.

How you will get the job done 

• designing, implementing, and testing SAP APIs and interfaces within the Munich RE finance landscape
• collaborating with SAP project teams to enable and maintain efficient data exchange
• establishing a Center of Competence, contributing new ideas, and supporting team growth
• consulting on and delivering PoC interface scenarios for business projects
• estimating implementation efforts based on feature definitions
• ensuring API design aligns with security, compliance, and transport standards
• supporting SAP integration across backend systems, Workzone, DataSphere, and BTP AI
• developing and testing role concepts for platform and application interfaces
• assisting in deployment and training based on SAP BTP Integration Suite best practices
• providing technical support and maintenance according to SLAs
• handling service requests and resolving application incidents (3rd level support)

Requirements

• fluency in spoken and written business English (min. B2) for effective communication with international teams
• strong communication and collaboration skills in global, hybrid teams
• 3+ years of experience in interface design, implementation, and operations
• expertise in at least one integration technology (e.g., SAP PI*, Microsoft BizTalk*)
• familiarity with SAP architecture and production implementations
• understanding of software change processes and related SAP tools
• hands-on experience or willingness to learn: SAP Basis, Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, IAS/IPS, Workzone, Integration Suite*, DataSphere, and AI
• curiosity for new SAP SaaS and BTP technologies
• analytical mindset, proactive problem-solving, and adaptability to change
