At Miquido, we are expanding our architecture team and looking for an experienced Software Architect for long-term collaboration.This role offers real ownership over system architecture, influence on technical direction, and close cooperation with both clients and development teams. If you enjoy designing scalable systems, shaping engineering standards, and working with modern technologies — we would love to hear from you.Tasks:Designing and evolving backend and API architectures (On-Premise & Cloud), with a strong focus on API design, data flow, and integration patternsAbility to design with scalability and maintainability in mind / Working with sales team to conduct business and technical discovery with customers, including estimation and planningWorking with developers to improve technology platform and solve backend teams facing issuesImprove developers standards, tooling, and processes for the developers team at largeHaving conversations with customer and subject matter experts to clarify expectations from requirementsDesigning public and internal APIs (REST, GraphQL, async/event-based), including versioning, contracts, and backward compatibilityWrite technical documentation (design documents and technical proposals, changelogs)Actively experimenting with and applying AI-powered tools (LLMs, copilots, code assistants, internal AI agents) to improve developer productivity and system capabilitiesMust have:5+ years of professional experience in software engineeringProven ability to lead architecture discussions with teams, make pragmatic technical decisions and explain trade-offs clearlyCan-do attitude and transparent approach (informing about problems/obstacles/progress)Strong experience in working directly with clients / external stakeholdersComfort working with modern AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, streaming responses, AI-assisted workflows) and willingness to use them in real projectssAbility to easily and articulately explain complex technical concepts to cross functional team membersOwn all aspects of product development, from prototyping new ideas to designing and coding new systems to setting strategic architectural directionPractical experience in designing and reviewing APIs and backend systems — not only at diagram level, but also through real implementationsExcellent command of written and spoken English (min.
