As a (Senior) Business Controller within Farm Trans Eastern Europe, you are responsible for the financial governance of the entity. In this independent role, you operate at operational, tactical and strategic levels and act as a trusted sparring partner and advisor to the Business Unit Manager and the Management Team. Together with the Business Control team at our head office, you will also participate in different projects.

Key responsibilities, tasks, and challenges include:

• Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, outlooks, and management reporting;

• Analyzing periodic results and (post-)calculations of customer tariffs, translating insights into concrete action plans to improve gross margins (in collaboration with the Business Unit Manager);

• Developing, analyzing, and optimizing KPIs and management information (customers, T&C, performance, direct costs) using Power BI;

• Advising on capacity management (equipment, charters, drivers, and capex);

• Leading and/or participating in (strategic) business projects (freight flow analyses, efficiency improvements, and load optimization);

• Preparing and maintaining financial reports in Excel and Power BI;

• Actively contributing to data optimization and system improvements in collaboration with IT and Finance.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;

• At least 5–10 years of experience in Business Control;

• Strong skills in performance analysis, forecasting, and strategic advisory;

• Experience with Excel and BI tools (Power BI);

• Self-starting and enjoys working largely independently;

• Organizationally aware, analytically sharp, and a strong communicator;

• Experience in logistics & transport or a similar environment is an advantage.
